‘An Attempt to Flood an Image’ by Alexander Mourant
I collaborated with photographic artist, Alexander Mourant, in the production of a site specific artwork at The Old Rectory, 29 Martin Lane, London. Reimagining the patterns made by sound waves emanating from the buildings bell tower, I created a series of laser cut plates that would allow Mourant to imprint these waves onto film negatives of the buildings interiors using a sand blaster. As more and more waves were imprinted onto the negatives the images became flooded with the chiming bells reverberations. The resulting artwork is on show in the now renovated building.
